Our DermoScan full-body skin checks are a thorough inspection of your body’s skin lesions with a digital dermatoscope called the D200evo. The D200evo combines a high-quality magnifying lens (15-200x) with a powerful lighting source, used for examining and evaluating skin spots across your entire body to detect skin cancers.

The device allows for images to be taken of concerning spots, helping to analyse their structures, colours, and patterns. With it, we can detect melanoma early, as well as other skin cancers, such as basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Our DermoScan service can also assist in guiding decisions about mole removal.

This full-body skin check device works seamlessly with the Vectra WB360 3D Skin Scan and DermaGraphix full-body photography software. With this integration, you gain the added benefit of storing and categorising every visible spot on your body’s 3D Avatar. Each dermatoscopic image can be linked precisely to the corresponding location on your 3D Avatar.

This integration allows your skin cancer specialist to compare past images with the assistance of the software, aiding in mole mapping and the identification and tracking of any developments or changes over time. The DermoScan is recommended for mole checks regarding a suspicious spot that goes deeper into the skin surface.

Get your skin checked at our spot-check skin cancer clinic with Melbourne’s most advanced early detection technology. Our 3D Skin Cancer Screening service is designed to detect melanoma and other skin cancers at the earliest possible stage.

DermoScan examines your skin for suspicious spots or changes caused by UV radiation exposure due to a lack of sun protection. This empowers you to take proactive measures to protect your skin from harmful sun rays and ensure any concerning spots are detected early.

While it’s not a requirement for you to use both services at our spot check clinic, we do still recommend using the 3D Skin Scan to complement your DermoScan experience. The integration of these advanced skin cancer detection technologies enables precise tracking of changes to suspicious spots over time, with the intention to catch any warning signs in an early stage. This collaborative approach ensures that your skin specialist can make informed decisions about your skin health, offering you the most comprehensive and effective skin assessment available.

During a DermoScan, our melanographer will conduct a comprehensive skin check to identify any concerning spots or skin changes. While it may involve undressing completely, this is essential to ensure a thorough examination.

Our goal is to create a welcoming environment for your DermoScan at our spot check skin cancer clinic. If you have specific concerns or requirements, please let our staff know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them. As a proud member of the Skin Cancer College Australasia, we adhere to the highest standards in skin health, ensuring you receive the most trusted and reliable care available.

Coverage for the DermoScan may vary, so it’s advisable to check with your insurance provider for specific details.

The DermoScan is performed by our Melanographer. These images together with the images and analysis captured by the 3D Skin Cancer Scan are then evaluated by professional skin cancer doctors who will provide an early skin cancer diagnosis and any recommendations for effective treatment and follow-up based on the findings.
