3D Skin Cancer Scan
Our 3D Skin Scanner, featuring the advanced Vectra WB360 machine, is a state-of-the-art solution designed to conduct total body skin cancer checks and provide you with peace of mind.
Knowing and understanding your skin cancer risk factors, such as previous skin conditions, family history, and the presence of any unusual skin lesions, is crucial. With its advanced technology and comprehensive full-body photography, our 3D Skin Scanner identifies potential concerns, locates most skin cancers and suspicious lesions, and helps you to monitor them over time, ensuring the earliest possible detection and the best chance for successful treatment.
The 3D Vectra Scan, with the Vectra WB360, is the most advanced total body imaging system to date.
It is a useful tool for tracking changes in moles over time by creating a high-resolution 3D avatar of your body that records every visible spot on the skin. The 3D render of your body has multiple analysis capabilities. By tracking changes in your skin over time, this cutting edge technology facilitates the early identification of potential skin cancer. When detected early, it is easier to treat.
How does our total body skin cancer scan work?
Our full-body mapping scan is a tool for the early detection of most skin cancers. It uses the Vectra WB360 machine that captures 92 pictures in 3 seconds to render a 3D avatar of your body. This 3D body image scanner allows medical professionals to examine your skin from different angles and zoom in on moles.
3D body imaging scans compared at regular intervals help to track changes in your skin, evaluate the effectiveness of skincare treatments and identify signs of skin cancer, including early melanoma detection, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.

Changes to look out for include the appearance of new moles or changes in the size, shape, or colour of existing moles. Your chances of surviving melanoma and other types of skin cancers are determined by how deep it has grown, using a measurement called the Breslow Thickness. The Vectra Skin Cancer Scan helps with early detection by highlighting spots on the skin and applying filters to identify lesions that may differ from normal tissue. This information allows Avatar Imaging to accurately assess whether a lesion is likely to be a melanoma, providing valuable insights for diagnosis and treatment. Vectra’s computer analysis helps healthcare providers compare changes in your moles over time to determine whether you have any developing skin cancer.
The Total Body Scan should be used as a complementary skin check to routine clinical examination. It’s important to remember that only qualified medical professionals can make a definitive diagnosis of skin cancer. With this information, your skin cancer doctor can give you a accurate diagnosis and avoid unnecessary biopsies.
Our advanced, whole-body photography service is not limited to those with pre-existing skin conditions. In fact, it’s an invaluable tool for proactive, healthy people looking to safeguard their skin and catch any developing cancer. These total-body scans are adept at early skin cancer detection, giving you the best chance for successful treatment.
Want more focused skin checks?
Our Full Body DermoScan is a thorough skin check with a dermatoscope that magnifies each lesion, enabling our practitioners to identify specific patterns commonly found in skin cancers and melanomas. This detailed analysis provides valuable insights for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
